Lyman Boat Owners Association, Lyman Boats LLC, and The Lyman Life, LLC Resolve Trademark Dispute
The Lyman Boat Owners Association (LBOA), Lyman Boats, and Lyman Life are pleased to announce that the trademark dispute over the famous LYMAN trademark has now been fully resolved. We have committed to work together to re-unite, strengthen, and expand the Lyman community. All three entities serve valuable purposes in promoting the history and legacy of the Lyman brand, and we believe the Lyman community will be the beneficiaries of this cooperation going forward.
Tom Koroknay, President of Lyman Boats, said “The future is bright for all things Lyman! We will continue to support the Lyman community by serving as the center of excellence for the Lyman brand and preservation of its history.”
Michelle Burke, President of Lyman Life, said “We are delighted that these trademark issues have been resolved and will continue to focus our efforts on providing the public with Lyman branded apparel and merchandise that celebrates the lifestyle and legacy of this truly iconic brand.”
Ryan Nagel, Commodore of the LBOA, said “We are very pleased that this matter is resolved, and we look forward to working with both Lyman Boats and Lyman Life as well as continuing to focus on the mission of the LBOA— promoting the history, preservation, and legacy of Lyman boats—and providing our membership with quality LBOA-branded merchandise.”
As part of the resolution, the LBOA has formally retracted all fraud allegations against Mr. Koroknay. The LBOA thanks him for his 35+ years of steadfast dedication to the Lyman community, including helping to establish the original Lyman Owners Association. Lyman Boats and Lyman Life have formally retracted their opposition to the LBOA trademark applications for the LBOA name and calendar, and they and Mr. Koroknay acknowledge the longstanding contributions of the LBOA to the Lyman community. The LBOA also acknowledges the contributions of Lyman Life and Michelle and Joseph Burke to promoting the Lyman brand. All three entities serve valuable purposes in promoting the history and legacy of the Lyman brand and look forward to working together in the future.
