Original Vintage Lyman Factory JIg

This is an original Lyman Boat Works   solid maple jig used at the factory for machining the #2 forward rib in the 1959 17ft. outboard model. The pattern makers at Lyman were highly skilled individuals who made it possible for semi-skilled labor to run out parts perfectly each and every time on shapers and saws. This jig was run on a spindle shaper with a rub collar to maintain a perfect cut every time. This unique piece measures 51"x 8"x 2" thick and would hang nicely in your office, rec room or Lyman man cave. You'll not find this kind of historical nautical piece in any nautical antique shop in the world. (Other historical memorabilia is available)
