1950 Lyman 15' Outboard/Runabout PHOTO $ 2,000/OBO This is a titled c1950 complete with a roadworthy titled trailer and mooring cover. The 15’ fisherman style Lyman has been restored to 95% and just awaits the final coatings of varnish. Hundreds of hours were spent during this complete renovation. The boat has had a complete rib replacement, two short laps and the upper portion of the transom replaced. Includes fresh paint with white upper, copper lower and a navy water line. Many cleats and other misc items are ready to install to finish off. The boat has sat for the last year and a half and has not seen the water since the renovation. I need to part with it before the renovation is complete due to space constraints. Much care was taken when renovating this Lyman to retain the original construction of the boat. The new owner will definitely benefit from my loss. This boat is water ready. Also negotiable is a 7.5 hp outboard. Also included are the parts and pieces, as the boat was converted from a runabout style to a fisherman style some years ago. It had the rear seat steering typical of this era. 1955 Lyman 15' Center Steer/Outboard Runabout PHOTO $ 1500 This boat was setting dry in a boat house for 15 yrs. I purchased it intending to do restoration and it has been setting, covered in my garage for another 16 years. It is in very sound condition, does not leak and needs a little work and refinishing. It includes new throttle control cables and new Lyman plastic side logos. The 35hp Johnson outboard motor (mid 50' to early 60's) that was with the boat has just been re-conditioned with new carb, wiring, hoses, starter re-built and lower unit gears re-built. Runs great. Gas tank and hose included. It has not been used since restoration. The trailer is old and has been setting for years. 1950 Lyman 18' Islander A-1672 PHOTO $ 18,500 Delivered in January of 1951, this 18ft Islander was the first ever to have the round Gray Marine instrument cluster and the 60hp Gray 620 engine. A windshield and dual steering wheels were factory options. Except for the plywood decks, the tips of four ribs under the foredeck and the plywood bulkhead at the foredeck, all the existing wood, hardware and fittings were restored to near new condition. The NOS instrument cluster has been re-calibrated and the engine completely re-built and restored to show condition. The interior is completely upholstered with new cushions. Has complete canvas including a convertible top with the original frame, side curtains and a cover to the transom as well as a full mooring cover. The purchase will also include a 60's Sterling tandem axle trailer which has been completely re-done with new hubs, bearings, wheels, tires, wiring, lights and tow hitch. Fidelis II has been a show winner since it was first shown in 2005 taking first place at the ACBS/Bay State Woodies show in N. Hampton, Mass and the Mahogany Memories show in Essex, Ct. 1954 Lyman 18' Islander PHOTO $ 9,500/OBO This was my grandpa's boat and I have had it almost fully restored. Unfortunately, I live in CA and the boat is in Michigan. The Hull of the vessel has had extensive work in the past. About ¼ of the planking below the waterline on the starboard side has been replaced. More recently, the spring of 2007, the port garboard plank from the stem to 6’aft was replaced. The outer Transom was also replaced and the entire hull received many new fasteners during the fall and winter of 2006. There is no rot left anywhere in the hull as of July 2007. Structural condition near 100%. Original Gray Marine engine was stored well, compression varies less then 5 lbs/inch per cylinder. It has new plugs and wires, points/condenser in the ignition system have been replaced as well. New cotton steering ropes have also been installed. Prop is in excellent condition, and vessel has a spare prop as well. This boat has a brand new bilge pump, and much new wiring, replacing old “lamp cord” wiring found throughout the vessel. The entire boat has been freshly painted and varnished. 12+ coats of varnish on the topsides and interior, 6 coats on the hull, and fresh bottom paint/boot stripe. It has been a handsome addition to the Boothbay Antique Boat Parade and some of the annual Lyman Rendez-Vouss. The bright work has all been recently refinished and all the gauges, lights and horn are original including the classic 50’s steering wheel. The original red cushions have been carefully duplicated and the top is original. Re-powered with an environmentally friendly, economical and fantastically quiet 50hp Honda 4 stroke engine (Engine #BAZE-2102068 Model #BF50A2LRTA), which is lighter in weight than the old Johnson 35s, the boat rides lower in the bow and allows for greater visibility for a seated driver. The engine is virtually brand new with only a little over 20 hours in the water. The transom was raised to accommodate the longer shaft of the four stroke engine. 1967 Lyman 19' I/O Runabout PO-1114 PHOTO $ 11,300 Production of the new style 19ft Runabout series generated 151 hulls from 1965 through 1969. The series included 90 inboards and 61 inboard/outboards which this boat is. A recent survey found significant evidence of this boat having been well taken care of over the years. Frames and stringers appear to be sound and the mahogany plywood deck, rub rails, inrails and transom are solid and finished bright. Overall the vessel was found to be structurally sound and in above average condition with an attractive fit and finish. The 120hp Mercruiser engine and the outdrive are still in production and parts are readily available. Since I have owned the little Lyman named "Seldom Seen" I have had all the bright work professionally redone with Bristol Finish which should last at least 10 years. The floor covering is new White grain Nautolex. All mechanicals and systems have been checked and brought up to proper standards. The bottom on this boat was chaulked with 3M 5200 sealant which can still be seen in the boat. Lymans with this sealant have not traditionally needed any bottom refastening. The trailer is listed seperately. This boat is an exceptionally useful and beautiful boat. It turns heads and creates a ton of radio chatter wherever it goes. The way it is built and finished, it is no more trouble than a fiberglass boat and is very much more seaworthy. I can provide a copy on an extensive survey done when I bought the boat late in 2005. 1971 Lyman 30' Open/Sportsman LO-1145 PHOTO $ Call One of the last original 30ft Open/Sportsman model produced at the Lyman Boat Works. Having had only three owners, the last owner has meticulously maintained it for the last 20 years. Boat has always been stored inside in the winter and has won numerous awards at several ACBS sanctioned boat shows. The boat is very original and has twin Chrysler 318ci 225hp for power that have been professionally maintained. The left hand engine was replaced in 1994. Other numurous upgrades include: solid teak planked deck and teak swim platform along with new transom. The hull has new garboard planks along with a new stem. Cockpit floors have new natulex on them and there are new stainless steel shafts, cutless bearings, original re-conditioned props and a four battery hook up. New convertable top canvas and drop curtain, full mooring and transom cover, full winter storage dust cover, sound system, white custom made cushions, bilge re-painted when floor boards were re-covered, original green plaid cushions are still in the V-bunk. Comes fully equipped with lines, fenders, safety equipment, etc. Boat is tight and dry after very little soak up and has been well cared for over the years and is ready to go.
